I was born in Canada and moved to Spokane in 2008, where I graduated from Mt. Spokane High School. I started working in construction during high school and later served six years in the Army as an infantry mortarman. Today, I am a Christian, a father, an entrepreneur, and the owner of Pacific Northwest Decks.
I started Pacific Northwest Decks in 2020 after seeing what happens when the owner is removed from the work. Standards become inconsistent, decisions become reactive, and the schedule starts to matter more than the result. I knew I could build a company where the owner was directly involved, problems were anticipated instead of dealt with after the fact, and people were told the truth.
My standards have continued to rise as I have studied building science, refined how we build, and learned more about why decks fail over time. Today, I stay directly involved in every project because the people who hire us are not looking for average. They want the best, and I take personal responsibility for delivering it.
I work best with people who care about their home and see the outdoor space as a real addition to their lives. They want it thought through, built well, and handled with the same level of care they would give it themselves if they had the experience, tools, and time to do it right.
